AM Joy needs to leave the preachers (Burns yesterday, non-racist Rev Forbes today) at the church

If I wanted to be preached about "God said all people are created equal" I'd go to a church. We will never be treated equal if it is left to the church. We need laws and enforcement, not prayers.

13. AM Joy isn't "the state." It's a TV show, and Joy Reid can have

any guest she wants. If a member of the clergy or anyone else with a religious viewpoint has a useful statement to make, what's the problem?

15. Lot of anti-religion bias on here.

Not all Democrats are as inclusive as they think...

18. The On Air Talent have little say as to who

their so called guest's are. Comcast has Booker's who arrange and schedule their Panelist's. It's all about the Producers and Directors, the Talent have minimal control. Joy Reid has been stretching the here talent's and suspect she will get here wings clipped .

19. I doubt that. As long as Joy gets good ratings

she will keep doing what she's doing without interference.

She is getting the ratings know doubt about it. She is working with what Management throws at her that's for sure. Looks like her Contract has some hard Dollars written in.

5. If those words change just one person's

hateful heart, then no harm, no foul. Maybe someone belonging to a church heard those words and will take it upon themselves to search their souls for some humanity.

I don't have a problem with preachers. I only have a problem when they preach hate.

9. I'm glad she's doing this, because the GOP has been trying to peel more religious black voters away

from the Democratic Party.

And Joy is showing them that it's possible to know the Bible well, to come from that background, and to be a proud liberal shooting down RW talking points that twist the Bible to try to make it support Republicans.

11. Joy runs a very inclusive show with guests representing many sides

I'm not particularly religious, but I enjoyed listening to that segment's guests.

14. I only mind it when it becomes overly theatrical and non-inclusive of all believers...

of different faiths, as well as non-believers.

As an aside, as an atheist, I really appreciate Reverend Barber's voice and like to see him on shows and hear what he has to say.

20. The way she runs her show is inline with her beliefs.

Not to be snarky, but maybe try turning CNN on when she is on.

21. I disagree. Its a common, metaphorical, storytelling way of communicating.

Iím an atheist but the language of religion and the actual tenets of many of them are important for us to be able to understand and use. They explain things in particular detail that cold, general words donít. Used well they accomplish a lot. And like it or not we live in a world where the majority of people believe in some form of religion.
