Mueller has a specific mandate to investigate within the scope of his mandate, to see whether laws were broken, and to bring indictments or take other actions where appropriate. When those are issued, it moves to the courts, which then review the law and the charges, decide if a prosecutable case exists, and where it does proceed.

None of this includes seditious Comey-type actions of throwing the nation to one party or the other. Comey needs investigation and likely a cell reserved for him in a federal penitentiary.

As disappointing as that sounds, there is no choice but to work through Congress once Mueller levels charges. The last point is why voting for Democrats in every election is so vital to our democracy. Contribute money to local and out of state Democratic candidates if you can.
