Trumper demands CNN be turned off at bar in Atlanta airport

Here’s the setup
Last night I’m in the Delta sky lounge bar in Atlanta
5 white males at bar
Three TVs on behind bartender.
One on CNN, one on ESPN, one on Fox News.

I ask bartender if the ESPN one could be turned to a different sports channe to watch a different basketball game.
The bartender asks everyone if that’s ok or if anyone is watching that game currently on.
Red headed white guy ariund 30 Says: “just take off CNN, I don’t watch fake news”.
I say, “that tv fine, I just want to see a different game on the middle tv”.
He says: “ just leave that game and put your game where CNN is so that I don’t have to see that fake news in front of me.”

There was so much I wanted to say.
One would be...”hey, asswipe, do you realize you are in Atlanta, CNN’s corporate headquarters “.
But mainly I wanted to say....”it’s not that you don’t want to watch CNN, it’s that you dont want anybody else to watch it either...is that what you’re saying....since we have three TVs in front of us”....”I hate Fox News, the real Fake News, but it’s not my business if you want to watch it”.

But, I didn’t say anything. Just had my drink and left.
How would you have handled it?

Plus I felt badly for the bartender. Nice older man.
He said he just wanted everybody to be able to see what they wanted.
I didn’t want to cause him grief over sine asshole redneck.

It was Faux, I changed it to ESPN.

Not that interested in sports but a foxer is less likely to change it.

and then I would have looked directly at the bartender with a somewhat softened but similarly (I mean business) face and dared either to take it further.

I may be female, but I've been told since my teen years that when I get that face and that tone in my voice it snaps everyone to attention. I have never had it fail.

But, occasionally something triggers me enough to do so and I'd imagine a Trumper acting like they own the world would be just the thing.

was chatting with my wife yesterday afternoon. While they were talking, her sister said, "I just got a text message government has shut down?"

She's a civilian Defense Department employee!

No, we will not talk about how dense, stupid, uninformed and ignorant Trump supporters are!"

So, turn off CNN and watch Fox News tell you how bad Hillary and Obama still are.

Sometimes I say “There’s a great economics paper showing that fox is propaganda and CNN and MSNBC are centrist”

If he argued further I just know I would have waved my hand at him dismissively and said: "Run along and sob to Mommy, crying little snowflake. Nobody gives a shit what you think" and completely ignored him.

IT department.

CNN provides their own feed for their news, meaning the airports don't take on that cost. It is well known in the IT dept. that if that feed goes down it gets attention immediately - top priority.

That dude wouldn't have been able to get CNN changed in any US airport.
