It has a charm, but also an expiration time.

She exudes intelligence. I have learned much from her monologues.
The well researched back stories are fascinating. Go TRMS!

that I will not miss. Whether she has a guest or not, I always get a valuable perspective from her. She is the best. I do not agree with your critique of her.

And full of pregnant pauses for me. It gets old. The info is good but she drags it out too long.

I wouldn't classify them as monologues because I'm pretty sure they are only partially scripted.

She frames a point from at least three different angles and stresses certain comments by saying the same thing multiple times in different words. It's tedious.
However, I watch or DVR the TRMS every night. She's got the stuff. I just wish she'd make her points without sounding like a kindergarten teacher.

The other MSNBC hosts are good, but she is THE ONE who is taking the deepest dive and telling us where to look. Her style is just fine with me - it lets her personality and commitment shine through.

Not everyone who watches her show is up on things like many DUers are, and she does a service to take the time to educate people on just what are the nuts and bolts of current events. What's the history leading up to something, what will be the impact and on who?

I love her opening explications. They are almost always extremely informative.

Every time I click to her show it's the same tired approach...drawn out and repetitive to the point of insulting, while obsessed with some specific instead of astute evaluation of the big picture.

That's the type of thing I don't respect at all. Rachel has 364 specifics per year while the big picture floats comfortably over her head.
