5. I loved that ad, but what really struck me was the reminder that he was the new man for a new era.
The 60's began as a positive time when anything was possible in this country. The tragic irony of that pivotal decade was that what started with such a spirit of optimism devolved into a country at war with itself. In that sense, it has something in common with today, but Nixon was a crook, not a traitor. Trump is a crook AND a traitor.

scuttle the Paris Peace Talks so the war would be extended? Nixon is just another in a long line of Republican traitors.
