I was listening the Chris Hayes a few minutes ago talking about Trump's most recent Twitter Storm.
I don't Tweet and was curious about the term "Twitter Storm." The only definition I could find on the Google-machine referenced tweets by numerous posters. Was the term "Twitter Storm" used about one person's Tweets before Trump?

(17,434 posts)In this case it was multiple tweets over a relatively short time. He is a slow tweeter so 5 or 6 posts in two hours is being called a storm. The irrational angry content (my opinion) may also be part of the reason.
"Twitter storm" is an exaggeration in my opinion. The use of that term generates clicks and viewers.

(2,807 posts)BTW theres a big anti-twitter caucus here. Dont be afraid. Twitter is by far the most useful social media platform. And remember you get to pick who you follow. Which means your twitter will only contain things that interest you, and that you approve of.
Its my opinion those who bad mouth twitter dont use twitter and they dont understand how it works.
Again, you only get tweets you like. Theres so much news and info about stuff that interests you. I am a huge space and rocket nerd, and I spend hours learning about rockets.
I also am a classic and foreign language movie nerd, samething, hours spent reading and watching old movies and clips.
Whatever your hobbies, theres no better resource. I cant recommend twitter enough.
As a news junkie I get breaking news way before it breaks anywhere else.
