White lies: when I asked hope Hicks about trumps use of amphetamine derivatives in 1982, she said he took them for a few days. When I said medical records I had showed he used them till 1990 - or 8 years when 25 days is max before addiction - she called me liberal & hung up.Link to tweet
Ah, what the hell....this is the portion on Trump's drug use from the Newsweek story that set off a war. Matt Mcallaster, soon fired under sex discrimination cloud, said he was 2 frightened to publish despite push by every other editor. I've left Newsweek. https://www.scribd.com/document/372716093/According-to-Medical-Records-Obtained-by-Newsweek

(47,352 posts)I guess he thinks drugs are okay though.
I remember reading that he was so impressed with how much energy he had when he took diet drugs. That could be how this started.

(47,352 posts)He has an addictive personality. He is so proud that he doesn't smoke or drink, but he has countless other addictions. Every day we see it and our reaction often is "He just can't help himself". His lack of self discipline will eventually destroy him.

(6,288 posts)You're thinking up your white lies
You're putting on your bedroom eyes
If you leave tonight, keep running
And you need never look back again
You take it on the run, baby
If that's the way you want it, baby
Dotard don't want you around
I don't believe it
Not for a minute
You're under the gun
So you take it on the run

(47,352 posts)he got off the medication with the help of a doctor in 1990, but the description of him when he was taking the drug is pretty much the way he is now.

(9,895 posts)The campaign, the debates, the non-stop nature of the modern presidency....none of this is easy on men in peak physical condition - hell look at pictures of President Obama from 2007 and then in 2016...even a complete dolt like W. aged decades in the office...
Then look at Trump...the man is a cardiac arrest in suspended animation...he is not going to survive another year in office, but then we are stuck with that worthless afterbirth Pence for the duration...well and truly fucked indeed.
