These tariffs are bad for a lot of MAJOR economic players in the US. The slightest retaliatory strike hits them, and since many of them are already invested in foreign countries, so they can save on labor and regulation, only to export back to the US, hurts their ability to do that.

I think this is a stupid "playing to the base" move that some moron like Mulvaney, Miller, or Mnuchin thinks is a good idea and the moron played along because it's always campaign mode.

I'm not seeing that this benefits american business or investors that much more than just letting things alone.

I don't think that he supported tariffs though, as that would spark a trade war. He was focused on strengthening enforcement of existing policies that the Chinese were getting around.

Trump thinks that he is in a game where he can bluff and bully and there will be no consequences.

While I do think that places like China regularly cheat at trade, a trade war will do nothing to fix the situation.

Was going to haul the to the recycler. I guess I'll wait. Might get a few more bucks for them. Maybe I'll start collecting off the roadsides, too. Thanks Dumbass!
