it's a sign that the end is near for the man in the White House, I think. Sessions is not a particularly brave individual. Instead of resigning after being called Mr. Magoo and insulted on almost a daily basis, Sessions had dinner with Rosenstein. General Kelly, who is a brave guy, appears to be simply ignoring Trump's ever-changing whims and is working to push the son-in-law out of power.
Those folks know something, based on day-to-day interactions with Trump. They know that he is unraveling and no longer is in control of the West Wing or himself. Yesterday's announcements of surprise tariffs on steel and aluminum came off the wall like ezy-strip wallpaper. They were not a rational move in any way. According to this morning's news, Trump has now bowed to the NRA and is backtracking on his statements of just a couple of days ago about new controls on guns.
Trump is out of control of the West Wing and of himself. Those who are sticking it out are simply ignoring the man right now and doing what needs to be done, tantrums or not.
Perhaps this is the beginning of the end. Perhaps Trump will finally bite the bullet, resign, and try to hide somewhere.
I think we may be about to get at least some relief soon.
