(1,733 posts)To be a progressive and to a slightly less extent, a mainstream democrat, in our local mills means you are a minority. It was not that way ten years ago.
Its a different world here now.

(42,641 posts)But even here, there are more than a few Trump supporters. And to see GOP support in any union shows that those union voters have no idea of what the GOP really stands for. The GOP is ferociously anti-worker.

(51,584 posts)from their puppet masters and Fux Ruse propaganda. They do not read history, research the economic trends of the past 30 years, etc. They have chosen blind ignorance. If they whine and complain it is their own fault. My father and grandfather and I were in unions but we read the newspapers, studied US economic trends and the how the global economic trends change over the years . You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand simple economic concepts and how the US and world changes. "Liberal elite" my ass. Pick up a decent newspaper and study it once in a while.
