Next week he’ll say it in public. And his base will say “what a good idea!”

Yep. He was testing it out like a comedian in a small club with new material to see how it plays with his despot heroes.

He has already worn out his welcome and it's just over a year. If he ever became president for life, I am pretty sure there are a lot of people out there who would be making sure that it is a very short one.

Never forget that. They would like us to think that they are dominant, but they aren't. It's an illusion that they have tried very hard to maintain.

Humor always contains a nugget of truth, and I think IQ45 is secretly wishing she'd leave (see how he treats her in public -- disgusting!) so he could hang out with his pornstar friends.

It wouldn't bother his base at all. The deplorables would see him as a stud, which gives them hope for their own futures. The evangelicals would point out that Mary Magdalene was alleged to have been a prostitute, although Google shows page after page of links to publications which are seeking to rewrite that characterization.

Personally, between Melania and Stephen Miller, who was also included in Trump's "joke," my money is on Melania. I'll bet she has a high-priced lawyer going over the prenup with a fine toothed comb.

Also, it's been pushed by some Repubs and a few Dems in the past.

In early 1989, during an exit interview with Tom Brokaw of NBC, President Reagan stated his intention to fight for the amendment's repeal.[11] However, after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 1994, his post-presidential ambitions had to be scrapped.

Several congressmen, including Democrats Rep. Barney Frank, Rep. José E. Serrano,[12] Rep. Howard Berman, and Sen. Harry Reid,[13] and Republicans Rep. Guy Vander Jagt,[14] Rep. David Dreier[15] and Sen. Mitch McConnell[16] have introduced legislation to repeal the Twenty-second Amendment, but each resolution died before making it out of its respective committee. Other alterations have been proposed, including replacing the absolute two term limit with a limit of no more than two consecutive terms and giving Congress the power to grant an exemption to a current or former president by way of a supermajority vote in both houses.

On January 4, 2013, Rep. José E. Serrano again introduced a resolution proposing an Amendment to repeal the Twenty-second Amendment, as he had done every two years since 1997; he did not do so during the 114th Congress.

Tree believed to be planted by George Washington 227 years ago is knocked down
A tree at George Washington’s Mount Vernon – said to be planted by the first president himself – was knocked down Friday by the powerful nor'easter that struck the U.S.

“Today at Mount Vernon, strong winds brought down a 227-year-old Canadian Hemlock, as well as a Virginia Cedar that stood watch over Washington’s tomb for many years,” the historical landmark posted on Facebook.

Mount Vernon was the location of George Washington’s plantation along the Potomac River in Fairfax County, Virginia.

The tree was planted by Washington in 1791, according to the estate’s director of horticulture. It was the site’s “best documented tree on the property arriving in a half whiskey barrel” from New York's then-governor, George Clinton.
