Payday Report: Other W.V. Unions May Join Teachers Strike W.V. Senate Refuses to Pass Pay Raise Students Have Teachers Back:
Teachers in West Virginia are the 48th lowest paid in the nation. They're on strike to demand fairer wages, better health care and to stop the proposed elimination of traditional teachers seniority.
The West Virginia School Service Personnel Association an independent union that represents bus drivers, clerical workers, and janitors has played a key role in mobilizing support for the wildcat strike. Under Carmichaels plan, service personnel plan would receive only 2% raises in the first year and 1% in the second year.
The article is rather disjointed; but, the point is well made, union members in W. Va. are supporting teachers in their demands for living wages.

they are starting to be required in a lot of places, tho. no reason they shouldnt have them.
