"Scott Walker sued by Eric Holder-backed group over special elections"
-- The Hill

I'm pleased to announce that the National Redistricting Foundation is suing Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker for refusing to hold two special elections for state legislative seats. After the previous officeholders left to take jobs in his administration, Walker announced that he wouldn't call elections until 2019 -- which would leave citizens without representation for over a year.

As advocates for fair elections, NDRC is demanding that Walker follow Wisconsin law and hold elections now. Will you chip in to support our work to demand election fairness?

Over his more than seven years as governor, Walker has proven himself to be one of the biggest opponents of democracy in the country. He approved some of the nation's most rigged maps, signed voter suppression legislation passed by lawmakers who were elected by those rigged maps, and worked to dismantle the state Government Accountability Board.

But refusing to hold elections that are mandated by state law is a new low even for Walker. That's why NDRC is committed to holding him accountable -- including at the polls this year. Wisconsin's governor's race will be one of our top targets in 2018.

But we can only defeat Walker and his ilk with your help. Will you chip in to help NDRC keep pushing for fair elections?

Thanks,

Kelly Ward

which he brazenly voided until a Republican could be elected.

Republicans are mangling the system to keep control, deceitful and with criminal intent. It was never meant to be manipulated to deny the voice of the people.

If only this grotesque, sleazy scumball can be prevented from pulling this one over on his state, and this country, it would be nothing but righteous.

Didn't they start this pac in 2017 to target states with serious districting problems affecting democracy? It might be the most important pac out there.

I applaud their suit against Walker, but they have not intervened in the many states in which gerrymandering is still affecting the impact of peoples' votes!

I vote in Florida Congressional District 5 that meanders from Tallahassee to Jacksonville. It's absurd and is clearly meant to divide blue Leon County to lessen our majority Democratic votes. A tentacle from District 2 winds around one from District 5, slicing our county in an illogical way.

This redistricting clearly was intended to unseat Gwen Graham, who was the first Democrat elected in the Panhandle of Florida in decades in 2012. It was also aimed at Corrinne Brown who had held a Jacksonville seat from 1992 to 2016. Now District 2 is held by Trumpian Neal Dunn and District 5.
