(8,278 posts)that is exactly what it was. I loved the crow bar.
I loved that he threw each letter in a pile.
Just tossed it for all it's worth.
it looked like a pile of shit.
so appropriate.
Thank you. I need a smoke now.

(57,290 posts)A crowbar with a curved chisel end to provide a fulcrum for leverage and a swan neck to pull nails
A crowbar, also called a wrecking bar, pry bar or prybar, pinch-bar, or occasionally a prise bar or prisebar, colloquially, in Britain and Australia sometimes called a jimmy (also called jimmy bar or jemmy), gooseneck, or pig foot, is a tool consisting of a metal bar with a single curved end and flattened points, often with a small fissure on one or both ends for removing nails. It is also a class 1 lever. In Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia, due to the influence of American media "crowbar" may occasionally be used loosely for this tool, but it is still mainly used to mean a larger straighter tool, its original English meaning (see digging bar). The term jammy or jimmy most often refers to the tool when used for burglary.
Hmmm. Maybe "jammy" or "jimmy" is the right word, considering the context.
Edited: I'm thinking it's probably not a good idea to strike a crowbar with a hammer. Anyone?

(11,513 posts)I don't see an issue here. Besides, all that really matters are the end result (which in this case was magnificent).

(57,290 posts)ABC should have said that the letters were pried off with a crowbar.
If I go to Harbor Freight and ask, "what aisles are the chisels on?" and the guy sends me to the aisle with the crowbars, I'll be going back to ask him for directions again. I mean, unless they're on the same aisle.
In my family, we would have used a screwdriver for that. We used a screwdriver to do everything.
But it was a lovely video. I could see that running for 24 hours straight instead of the Yule Log next, uh, Christmas. Or winter holiday.

(382 posts)Trump "gold" crowbar! At least it looks like it in the video. Are all the tools at Trump properties "gold?"

(32,577 posts)Trump didn't own this hotel in Panama. The owner paid Trump a yearly kick-back to put the Trump name on the hotel.
I guess he's cancelled their agreement, but the Trumps don't care. They're finding new suckers in India to replace these guys.

(57,009 posts)his own. The question is this: is there a point when Putin cuts him loose? What happens when partners like the Russians lose hundreds of millions on real estate/money laundering, how understanding and forgiving are they?
In "Pritzi's Honor" one character explains about the Pritzi family, "they'd rather eat their children than give up their money. And they truly love their children."
How are Russians about their money?

Good possibility that the guy who attached those letters to the wall, originally, is still waiting for his money?
