and still these allegedly smart people still send incrimination info in them.

How many time over the years have high profile prosecutions been successful because of email discovery?

Quite a few and yet these fools are still doing it.

Emails are forever. They're on some server somewhere even if you delete them from your computer.

Never take a picture you wouldn't want your mother to see and never write an email you wouldn't want published in the newspaper.

Assumption of privacy is preferred but never guaranteed.
