I've heard him make these statements that are incriminating as facts ("Junior definitely took the trump tower Russians upstairs to meet with his father&quot and then follows up with "But there's nothing wrong with that."

I think he knows exactly what he's doing.

All in trump's orbit are one egg short of a full dozen.
