He lied to the FBI last month (or whenever it was that he had his interview). So now that the FBI has requested his emails to and from various nefarious (hey, that rhymes!) characters in ShitGibbon's orbit, Nunberg knows the shit is about to hit the fan. Bigly.
Mueller will bring Nunberg back in, ask more questions about Stone, et al, and then show Nunberg the emails that will prove that he lied to the FBI during his first interview. That's how the FBI rolls. If you don't cooperate, or knowingly lie to the FBI, they will find some way to bust your balls. No doubt, the FBI already has Nunberg's emails. Mueller is putting pressure on Nunberg, with the threat of a prison sentence for lying to the FBI, to get him to flip on Stone. Then when the FBI has Stone's 'stones' in a vise, they are hoping he will flip on Trump to save himself.
Nunberg knows he has only two options: continue lying to clear Roger Stone and go to prison, or rat out Stone (his 'father figure') and be forever known as a traitor. He is probably also worried about accidentally falling on a few Russian bullets if he cooperates with the FBI.
Believe it or not, Nunberg has a law degree. That's hard to grasp because he should have known better than to go on television without his lawyer and start running his mouth.
This is the only scenario regarding Nunberg's bat shit crazy MSM tour yesterday that makes sense to me.

(46,166 posts)It's a pattern. Look what happened to Gates. Similar scenario between him and Manafort as Nunberg and Stone.

If so, now he is guilty of lying, the same felony they got Flynn for, but he has also blown the best deal that he could have had.

(10,437 posts)he is a minor player who got himself sacked and sued.....but he may become a major player in taking the trump crime family down or not. Mueller is the smartest man in the room and he will do this the best way possible. Once evidence is obtained, it becomes a new ballgame for sure.
