Yes, I know; he's always looked like crap - but lately he looks like 10 miles of warmed-over crap. His skin looks like 40-year-old Naugahyde scraps left over from a failed couch re-upholstery project; his little piggy eyes are bloodshot and surrounded - almost obscured - by puffy bluish pouches; he has an advanced case of turkey neck; and his hair - OMG, his hair! Colored and bleached to the point where it can no longer hold a color known to nature, it is sculpted and shellacked into whatever configuration best covers the bald spots, but the result is that his head seems to have corners. I understand that we all think it's mean to make fun of a person's looks, but Trump looks like he's melting like a wet Wicked Witch of the West, or the Nazis in Raiders of the Lost Ark. The stress must be getting to him. He should eat more Big Macs.

(26,259 posts)I'm wondering if they've added Crazy Glue to what ever concoction they use to attempt to stabilize the wrap around 'wings' that are intended to hide that vast expanse of scalp on the back of his head.
Given his strange pattern of baldness, I'm wondering if there is such a thing as random Alopecia.
Grammy23
(5,810 posts)Hes had tucks and stretching pulling the scalp is various directions in an attempt to make his balding patches smaller. Kind of like using a draw string to pull a bag together at the top. In any case, he has some definite weirdness going on with his hair-do (or hair-dont, as the case may be). The swoops and swirls have taken on a life of their own. If only someone would get a hidden video of him sculpting and erecting that monstrosity.....it would be a National treasure. Melania, are you listening?? Its your duty as a citizen.....

(25,841 posts)But when I am explaining alopecia areata to people, I say that any possible combination of hair loss and hair regrowth you can imagine has occurred in AA. When that video of his hair blowing up, revealing that enormous bald patch, my very first thought was, alopecia areata! Even at a distance, that bald patch seemed to have the characteristic shiny quality of the disease.
Both of my sons have alopecia areata, and both of them have the most extreme form, known as universalis. I used to attended the conferences held by the National Alopecia Areata Foundation.
So yes, I'm convinced that he has alopecia.

PoindexterOglethorpe
(25,841 posts)But what he has is a very large bald patch on the left side of his head in the back. The right side appears to have hair. Again, it's in keeping with what I have seen with alopecia. Normal hair on part or most of the head, bald patch or patches elsewhere. Of course, at his age he is almost assuredly losing his hair. It's what happens to men, they lose their hair. Far more so than women. But the way men lose hair as they age is very, very different from the hair loss of alopecia.

(19,429 posts)In the first half of 1923, Harding did two acts that were later said to indicate foreknowledge of death: he sold the Star (though undertaking to remain as a contributing editor for ten years after his presidency), and made a new will.[176] Harding had long suffered occasional health problems, but when he was not experiencing symptoms he tended to eat, drink, and smoke too much. By 1919, he was aware he had a heart condition. Stress caused by the presidency and by Florence Harding's ill-health (she had a chronic kidney condition) debilitated him, and he never really recovered from an episode of influenza in January 1923. After that, Harding, an avid golfer, had difficulty completing a round. In June 1923, Ohio Senator Willis met with Harding, but brought to the president's attention only two of the five items he intended to discuss. When asked why, Willis responded, "Warren seemed so tired".[177]

(4,079 posts)In fact, I've always believed that Florence might have been involved in his untimely demise. But with all of the corruption in his administration there is no shortage of suspects.
Still, our current president and his administration make Teapot Dome and Harding's other scandals look like jay-walking. For all of the graft and greed among his Interior and Justice Departments, it did not appear that Harding himself was attempting to use the office for his own financial gain (unlike Trump). He was mostly in it for the sex .

(4,450 posts)I don't think he had any idea what he was getting into in becoming President. As for the rapidly deteriorating appearance: living on fast food and diet coke, four hours of sleep, and maybe amphetamines is not going to help in the looks department. He was a fat ugly bastard to begin with, but he is looking worse of late. If he doesn't resign, hopefully he will clutch his chest one morning while watching Fox and Friends and drop dead on the spot of natural causes.
