I effing LOVE Generation Z

To all of you high school kids that are calling out politicians at Town Halls,
That are tweeting about Trump's 100days of playing golf while children are shot in school,
That are confronting Betsy DeVos on her bullshit,
That are posting pictures of your voter registration cards,
That have had enough and are pushing back harder on our politicians than any adult has yet,
That are planning to storm DC on March 24th,
That are getting States to already raise the age limit on firearms...

We are humbled by what you are doing
We love you
We are awed by you
(And in some of our cases, mine included) WE RAISED YOU RIGHT!!

yeah, it's a bit of a humblebrag but hey, we haven't done a lot right but we've raised some damn fine kids.

I've hired several Gen Z kids (as paid canvassers) and they're good kids. Solid workers and are enthusiastic about the job.

They also have a solid head on their shoulders and seemed to have learned from the millennials' mistakes. I have two cousins who just turned 18 and they're both going to trade school and/or community college to avoid going deep in debt like their older siblings.

One thing I'll say about them (I'm an Xennial) is that they're in no hurry to get their driver's license.

Has almost no social media presence. Private texts and some snap chats. No one needs to know his business.
Won't speak in a room that Alexa is in (who knows where that information goes!)
Has already started his own landscaping business so he can have enough money to move out as soon as possible.

He is, in other words, nothing like my Millennial kids.

She has helped me knock on doors and phone bank for Obama's first election. She cried when Trump was named winner.
