BREAKING: A federal judge in Manhattan just asked President Trump to "unblock" people on Twitter, and instead "mute" them as part of a Settlement.
If a settlement is not agreed upon, the judge will make an official ruling very soon, which she claims "they may not like".

A federal judge is skeptical about whether Trump can block Twitter users
A federal judge is skeptical about whether US President Donald Trump can constitutionally block Twitter users whose views he does not like from following and retweeting his account.
The judge asked if Twitter was different from a public town hall where government officials would be unable to mute speakers with unwelcome views.
Michael Baer, Trump's lawyer, argued that Trump's use of Twitter was personal and did not qualify as a state action.
Katherine Fallow, a lawyer for the plaintiffs, said that the account is operated in an official capacity because Trump often uses Twitter to announce policies or policy proposals.

(23,091 posts)Mr. Lark was actively dogging the traitor in chief and drumpf didn't like it. He blocked hundreds of people around the same time. My husband was very proud and kept the blocking tweet notice from the orange assface. Pardon me if I'm using the wrong terms, I am not on Twitter at all.

Excerpt:
The Department of Justice is treating President Trumps frequent Twitter posts as official statements, attorneys for the government wrote in a new federal court filing.
Justice Department lawyers qualified the presidents tweets in an eight-page submission entered in D.C. federal court Monday after U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta asked the government earlier this month for clarification concerning Mr. Trumps Twitter musings.
The Court has asked, broadly, about the official status of the Presidents tweets asking the parties to provide insight on the Presidents tweets and what they are, how official they are, are they statements of the White House and the President, Justice Department attorneys wrote Monday citing a Nov. 2 status conference hearing.
In answer to the Courts question, the government is treating the Presidents statements to which plaintiffs point whether by tweet, speech or interview as official statements of the President of the United States, the Justice Department responded.
