We need tariffs to protect the coffee growers of the United States

We have a huge imbalance in coffee trade with Mexico, Central America, Brazil, and, well, pretty much every other coffee growing country in the world.

We need to impose tariffs on imported coffee to help the coffee growers of the United States.

Alert President Cheeto.

cheap, on purpose, from countries with devalued currencies, like China? Like the Trumps do?

Walmart IS China, and Americans love it...paying 2 bucks for briefs made domestically instead of one in Vietnam will be outrageous.

It hasn't produced any berries yet, though, and I doubt it ever will.

From what I've seen of coffee production on Hawai'i, it seems to be a lot of small growers who bring their fruit to a central buyer who then processes them. It didn't seem like a big enough operation to be able to buy politicians.
