What's Next? How about Converting Old Prisons to Schools?

Look - we need to harden our schools, the current administration says. Because we can't do anything about guns, apparently. So why not move schools into prisons that are already closed? Or, move the schools to prisons and convert the old schools to prisons.

That way, prisoners in the county jails all across America could be moved into current schools, and the schoolkids bused to converted jails. Clearly, it would be easier to protect our precious youth if they were behind prison walls and barbed wire, right?

In some places, older prisons which have been shut down to give business to private prison companies could be converted into spacious, safe school campuses. Here's an example:

The children did nothing wrong. It is the people with guns who come into the schools who are wrong. Why is our first thought to imprison the children "for their safety?" It's ridiculous. Completely ridiculous.

Take the damned weapons of war out of the hands of people. Problem solved.
