(83,746 posts)Sad to know that Russia caused the same fears in the 60's that they fund today and now the deaths of thousands. They are sponsors of the NRA and trump.
Did you see the 7K boots that were placed at the WH as a reminder how many gun deaths there have been since Sandy Hook?
Broke my heart.

(2,275 posts)I would like to propose that we choose a weekend where every ACTUAL patriot places (old, but vivid) shoes outside on the road or sidewalk in solidarity with massacre victims.

(83,746 posts)Anyone that denies/votes against sensible legislation is not just fighting a war against Americans, they are killing them in cold blood. They all have blood on their hands. Every single one of them.

Enough! National School Walkout
Wednesday, March 14, 10am

Hosted by Womens March and Womens March Youth

Womens March Youth EMPOWER is calling for students, teachers, school administrators, parents and allies to take part in a #NationalSchoolWalkout for 17 minutes at 10am across every time zone to protest Congress inaction to do more than tweet thoughts and prayers in response to the gun violence plaguing our schools and neighborhoods. We need action. Students and allies are organizing the national school walkout to demand Congress pass legislation to keep us safe from gun violence at our schools, on our streets and in our homes and places of worship.
Students and staff have the right to teach and learn in an environment free from the worry of being gunned down in their classrooms or on their way home from school. Parents have the right to send their kids to school in the mornings and see them home alive at the end of the day.
We are not safe at school. We are not safe in our cities and towns. Congress must take meaningful action to keep us safe and pass federal gun reform legislation that addresses the public health crisis of gun violence. We want Congress to pay attention and take note: many of us will vote this November and many others will join in 2020. Join us in saying #ENOUGH!

(36,775 posts)Sen. John Thune (R-SD) says to 'get small'.
Just how 'small' does he recommend for kids?

(83,746 posts)Guess he is suggesting that a one year old become the next target, after all they are much smaller than five, six, ten, twelve, fifteen and sixteen year old. It is there fault...make the target smaller then you have less damage.

(297,154 posts)It was a long long time ago.
It's so unbearably sad what the KIDS today have to fear.. ever since Columbine. It's heinous that we have a killing machine for profit in America. that only gears up for more guns, even after the latest massacre.
I have such high hopes that the surviving KIDS from MSDH will be the catalyst that makes it stop.

(83,746 posts)I think they found it, Cha.
I wish they had listened to the black voices that have been crying out for years...however I will take whatever change we can get.
