Doug Jones was the first democrat from Alabama elected to Congress in a quarter of a century.

Jones beat Ray Moore, a former judge, Republican, who was accused by many women of abuse. Some were below the age of 18 when the abuse occurred.

After some analysis, it was determined that the outpouring of support from the women of Alabama determined the outcome of this election
