(10,533 posts)Still stuck at 90%.
I have this sick feeling that Repukes will use that last 10% to miraculously take the lead. With no paper trail.

(611 posts)About halfway down the page. Apparently if there are three electors who allege fraud or miscount they can file for recount, but its not automatic. Look for Saccone to file for a recount if he loses, anything to try to delay seating Lamb.

Makes it harder for some "missing" votes that magically happen to be just enough for the republican to take the lead to be "found"

it's not always easy to find such candidates, thus pouring money into a suicide mission doesn't make sense...
all factors have to come together for it to make sense.
IronLionZion
(45,261 posts)and they would know their local issues and voters and build up a constituency and record to run for higher office. We need that bench of exceptional candidates to draw from when an opportunity like an open seat comes up during a blue wave year.
Republicans run complete shitheads and manage to win a few too many times with little opposition.

(3,624 posts)could easily wind up in Congress after all, Sack in the 14th and Lamb in the 17th.

(24,304 posts)Because if you are, I never realized Rahm Emmanuel and his ilk were liberals
It all began with Dean's much-ballyhooed (and much criticized) "50 State Strategy", an effort to put staff and resources into every state in hopes of bolstering the party's grassroots in every corner of the country. Establishment Democrats, led by Emanuel, were openly skeptical of a strategy that took critical resources and spent them in Republican strongholds like Idaho or Nebraska -- particularly as the party was battling to retake the majorities in the House and Senate.

Some Dems want to shrink the map for our party.
rpannier
(24,304 posts)But the above poster laid that blame at the feet of liberals, yet it was many establishment moderates who opposed the 50 state strategy, like Rahm
IronLionZion
(45,261 posts)but he's exactly the type of Dem we need in rust belt Appalachian areas like Western PA and enough voters agreed.

(24,304 posts)I supported the 50 state strategy
But, it was Emmanuel and Begalia that did not and they are moderates

(22,474 posts)They saw polls showing Lamb would win so they just didn't bother to vote.
That sort of behavior is a plague on the Democratic Party but one that's celebrated by Republicans who tend to view voting as their duty and not just something to do if they are excited or motivated.

Since when does DU give prominence to BS gamblers who offer no facts?
Does he/she live there? Do they know something we do not? If so, prove it.
In the words of Betsy DeVos, 'it's waste of fucking time'.
This is the kind of crap we need much, much less of on DU.

Instead of focusing on an old post like a raving lunatic, why dont you click on some other threads or better yet go to msnbc or cnn?

(11,088 posts)Can Rick Saccone still win? It's "mathematically possible but unlikely"
CNN's John King has analyzed the numbers and thinks that while it's possible Republican Rick Saccone could still pull it off in Pennsylvania, he wouldn't bet on it.
"Mathematically possible but unlikely," King told CNN's Don Lemon. Then he broke it down and found that even if Rick Saccone got 70% of the remaining ballots and absentee ballots -- which is unlikely -- he'd still come up short by just a handful of votes.
"Mathematically possible, yes," he added. "Would that count have to defy everything that's happened at the ballot box today by a significant margin? Yes. Mathematically possible at 70%, though, even if Rick Saccone wins, 7 of 10 of those remaining absentee ballots, he will fall short."
