...on a driving trip from London up to Glasgow about 20 years ago with my dad and brother.

Stopped in some rest stop outside Birmingham (I think) where there was an oasis kind of restaurant/store/petrol station.

Walking through with my fish'n'chips on a tray, I bumped into a guy in a wheelchair. I looked at the woman behind him and said "excuse me" and then I heard that mechanical voice "That's O. K.". I just looked at this woman and she said, you can talk to him...it's ok. I was f'ing speechless. All I could say was something like "you're amazing, thank you". I honestly don't remember...all I remember was telling my dad that I was such a doofus for not saying something profound. LOL. He said "thank you" and we went out ways.

Once of those brushes with greatness that ya never forget.
