At the end of the day, Trump won it by 20 and it's been a solidly red district for a long time. Regardless of whether Lamb won by 20,000 votes or 500...this was an absolutely incredible performance and shows that the Blue Wave isn't forming....it's already here and making waves.

coming that close is great, regardless of final outcome.

Across the country, the lesson is clear. Get good candidates, run on local issues, don't over-emphasize the Trump effect, and get the ground game out.

I do agree that over-confidence should be avoided. Much work to be done.

If either candidate won by 4+ points I was certain it would be Saccone. Very difficult to win big when the natural terrain of the district is so far in the other direction.

But the beauty of wave cycles is that the side with the tilt in its favor invariably wins the razor tight races. I've noted that all my life, and marveled at how dependable it is. I posted it earlier today. So when the race settled into obviously very close I kept in mind that Lamb should eek it out.

We can beat back the GOP, Trump and, Putin. If 2018 is a slaughter for them, 2020 being a presidential year will only be worse for them. Winning back gerrymandered states and throwing out the maps will be a turning tide. Flipping all branches back to democratic is essential for the future of the United States. We can do it! GOTV!
