Gingrich: 'I feel Romney-boated'

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa --

Asked Sunday whether he felt that he had been "swiftboated," Gingrich replied, "I feel Romney-boated."

Speaking to reporters after attending morning Mass at the St. Ambrose Cathedral in Des Moines, Gingrich said the amount Romney will eventually spend on his various campaigns will rival the spending of billionaire New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who has poured at least $261 million of his own money into his mayoral campaigns.

"Romney would buy the election if he could," Gingrich said.

Even as he attacked Romney, Gingrich insisted he would not go negative -- which he defined as distortions and lies -- but would work to correct misleading charges against himself and draw a clearer contrast with Romney. (heh)

the media who allowed the swift boaters to spread their filthy lies through them now use the term "swift boating" to mean dirty, lying political tricks. Why didn't the media point that out the first time around??

Actually I think Gnewt has nailed this sucker. He's getting hit by Mittens PAC...that poured millions into ads that took Gnewt from prohibitive frontrunner to also ran. Meanwhile the "Good" Mittens was singing "American The Beautiful"...and, yep, trying to buy votes wherever he can.

Gnewt's biggest problem is Gnewt. I think it was his bombastic and narcassistic personality that cost him his moment in the sun. When the light shone on him peop saw this smarmy, egocentric asshole and that's what hurt him. Schlepping around with his barbie doll wife (that reminded many of his Tiffany bills and affairs) didn't help either.

Mittens has lots of money to throw around and he's doing it. He's the establishment candidate and they always get the candidate they want.
