SCOOP: In recent weeks, Mueller subpoenaed Trump Org for documents, including some related to Russia. Latest sign that despite what the president's lawyers say the investigation is not going to be over soon.Special counsel Robert Mueller has subpoenaed President Donald Trump's businesses for documents, some of which relate to Russia, The New York Times reported, citing two people briefed on the matter.
The newspaper says it marks the first time Mueller, who is probing Russian involvement in the 2016 election, has asked for information directly related to the Trump Organization.
The special counsel's office did not immediately respond to CNBC's request to comment.

The breadth of the subpoena was not clear, nor was it clear why Mr. Mueller issued it instead of simply asking for the documents from the company, an umbrella organization that oversees Mr. Trumps business ventures. In the subpoena, delivered in recent weeks, Mr. Mueller ordered the Trump Organization to hand over all documents related to Russia and other topics he is investigating, the people said.

(20,444 posts)But of course we all know he's guilty as hell, so, now Mueller asked nicely, then subpoenaed silently, and now went public.
So, when it's ignored, does the senate decide to impeach for obstruction??????
Hey- we can wait until january when the dem house is installed: They can always start work early so it's ready to go in january....
The evidence isn't going anywhere....

(31,097 posts)So the question is what does putin tell trump to do?
Firing Mueller will it cause more trouble for them than it solves? We can assume the only reason he hasnt dont this so far is that is the conclusion putin has come to.
It is weird to realize our president actually takes orders, for everything he does of importance, from this person

(17,121 posts)Mueller's subpoena notwithstanding, anything that wasn't required to be filed with some agency at the time (and is therefore already somewhere in their files) is probably long gone.
That goldurn "delete" key strikes again.

(110,950 posts)They would be too incriminating.
This presents quite a challenge for Trump. Does he turn over documents or does he hide and conceal and lie about them?
All he has to do is fire Mueller. Does he have he cooperation of Mitch McConnell and the Republicans to do that? That is the narrow bridge between our Justice Department and a corrupt Executive Branch.

(629 posts)What makes people think Trump et. al. will turn over anything that will incriminate Trump or his organization? Someone needs to run to Trump Plaza and see if the incinerator is putting out smoke. Trump will NEVER do anything if his guilt will show. The Republicans would rather this country go down the toilet than let go of their money so they will never side with what is right.
