won. Out here in the hinterlands of Westmoreland and Greene Counties we have no ethnicity at all. As an example: You can go into any restaurant around here anytime of the day and not see a person of color. We have a very small African-American population. Our children are not exposed to any other cultures unless their parents travel with them or to go Pittsburgh to see a doctor (we do have some "foreign" doctors (as they are referred to) around here. They want the Wall because Immigrants are taking their jobs...yeah, right...try and find any immigrants around here...they have better places to go.
Camouflage is a big fashion statement for proms and weddings (one local wedding the groom and groomsmen wore empty shotgun shells as their boutonniers). People from this area used to make fun of West Virginia, but it flows right up to this area (and I am not making fun of WVA). After President Obama was elected the number of gun permits issued here soared through the roof.
Conor Lamb ran a brilliant campaign here. His ground game was much like President Obama's. Our redistricting will make our area all rural again so I am sure we will get another republican representing us.
