2. The bridge is a two-fer for them: it is legitimate news and it allows them to hide anti-45 news.

Most of the time they hide or ignore the anti-45 news by airing non-stop BS conspiracies and/ir Hillary news.

At least the bridge collapse is an event that needs to be covered.

3. Can't really blame them

IMO, CNN has underplayed this event, given the apparent number of casualties involved.

I'm in Miami and watching wall to wall on local news. There is new information frequently.

4. In fact, shameful lack of coverage on CNN and MSNBC
Thu Mar 15, 2018, 05:44 PM

This is ridiculous. The chief surgeon from Kendall Regional Hospital is being interviewed on local news in Miami, saying it's the largest mass casualty incident he was dealt with. He described 10 patients with 2 in extremely critical condition and one who was brought back to life. He detailed receiving texts from doctors at other hospitals detailing the patients who were brought there and what is being done to help them.

Dogs are being shown still trying to detect signs of life from people trapped under the bridges. Optic fiber cameras are being used in real time.

Yet none of this is meaningful enough for CNN or MSNBC.

Sorry, it is disgraceful. CNN is running some panel discussion that could be taped and replayed at any point. In fact, it will be.

9. None of them are discussing it now. Fox has been doing the usual for at least a couple of hours

Not sure why just cnn and msnbc are “shameful” —Fox isn’t covering it “live”either.

10. Awsi, we average about 400 accidental deaths PER DAY.
Thu Mar 15, 2018, 08:40 PM
Mar 2018

That's every day. Of course, some days it's higher, and some seem especially tragic because of who dies or degree of suffering involved.

Is it really SHOCKINGLY callous that all these deaths aren't covered extensively on Fox, MSNBC and CNN? Especially keeping in mind that these are not really in the business of providing news?

News, especially "if it bleeds it leads" news, is the purview and lifeblood of local and network TV.

And let's face it, we can all pay our respects with our remotes. Cable executives do not make this decision for us.

the owners of the Construction firm are Rubio supporters. The engineering firm is a Romney supporter.

7. Tucker Carlson is not discussing it. Fox is not covering the bridge collapse (and hasnt been for

a couple of hours). Tucker, of course, is screeching about evil illegal aliens, which from what I can tell he talks about every single night. I imagine they are mentioning it during breaks but they are not covering it “wall to wall”
