According to paperwork filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, she has hired White Plains-based lawyer David Feureisen after the couple filed for divorce, reported the New York Post.

“Feureisen is best known for securing the release of a New York man named Anthony DiSimone from federal prison in 2007 after a judge overturned a murder conviction related to a bar fight in 1994,” the Post reported.

A Manhattan family law expert told the newspaper that Vanessa Trump’s choice of attorneys was “curious” if the couple’s split was amicable, as they claimed in a joint statement.

“If it’s an amicable situation you wouldn’t be highlighting the criminal aspect,” said legal expert Bonnie Rabin.
