I really cannot stand Comey or McCabe due to their actions against Hillary. However,

their firing is a disgrace to America and a deterioration of our democratic values brought on by a disgusting immoral traitorous and treasonous demagogue with dictatorial tendencies with the absolute permission and acceleration of the GOP.

Their actions in 2016 helped elect trump and now they are gone. The funny thing is that if Hillary were POTUS they would still be in their positions and probably giving her hell investigating her. But she wouldn’t have dared to try and fire them. And could you imagine the uproar if she tried.

Comey and McCabe were right in that she was pretty careless in how she handled some of her stuff. But it wasn't all that serious, and neither was it intentional, and they knew it, which is why Comey recommended no indictment.

Comey's mistake was in not knowing how to handle the public scrutiny, and he botched that. It likely cost Clinton the election, and in my view, was a pretty huge mistake, but I honestly think he was trying to do the right thing.

If his legacy ended there, he'd be remembered for that fuck-up.

But it doesn't, because he really WAS trying to do the right thing, and when Trump looked for him to protect his ass, he wouldn't do it. He got fired for it, and now he could be the linchpin to take down that criminal asshole in the White House. That doesn't erase his fuck-up, and neither does McCabe's corroboration of Comey's testimony. If they hadn't released that late October letter to Congress, there is every chance Clinton would have won. But that is water under the bridge. No sense in agonizing over past mistakes. The point is right now, they are key to exposing the orange fraud for at least partially what he is.

2. Yes. We can't forget that this is a result of their own actions to get the republican president

elected.

Its becoming like the snake eating its tail. For example, I'm hating the fact that I need to hope that Sessions remains safe, but I do.

4. I honestly do not believe they intended to get Trump elected.

They were naive and trying to show that the FBI was not going to gloss over the Clinton investigation. They just had no idea how much of a shit storm they were in the middle of. They underestimated the depravity of the current GOP.

5. I'd have an easier time believing that if they applied it equally to both sides.

They knew about the Russian collusion long before the election, and that was a much bigger issue and they didn't feel the same compunctions to make that public. So though that is the reason they give, I don't really believe it.

.. because I can see your point of view. But I've listened to Comey and I've come to think he believed Trump would not be elected.

WE can disagree here, of course, but the fact remains that now he is a HUGE threat to Trump.

Now that they are fighting for their own, their errors should be self-evident and they can share the regret.

to the news media? I think Comey was essentially blackmailed by the "Trumplandia" section of the FBI in New York into re-opening the case.
