Proposed HOTEL Act would ban officials from staying at Trump properties

A Democratic lawmaker in the House has introduced a bill aimed at preventing federal officials from spending public money at any of President Trump's hotel properties.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) said the purpose of the bill, the Heightened Oversight of Travel, Eating and Lodging (HOTEL) Act, is to "help stop President Donald Trump’s ongoing violations of the Constitution’s Domestic Emoluments Clause."

The HOTEL Act would bar government agencies from using public funds at any properties owned by the president, his family or the head of any other an executive agency.

But the wretched, traitorous hive of scum and villainy known as the GOP Congressional Majority ... are too CHICKENSHIT to be PATRIOTS and DO THEIR FUCKING JOBS.

If this happened ONE TIME under Obama (post 2010) there'd have been like 10 investigations and, if not impeachment, a formal censure from Congress. And every cent would be audited and paid back to taxpayers.

And if such a law WAS created, when ANYONE ELSE was President apart from Trump (who everyone just bizarrely seems to accept as being a fucking criminal, oh well!), it'd have flown through Congress with a veto-proof majority.

We need a Democratic majority in the House. We won't get it until next January, and not even then unless we turn out Democratic voters in record numbers for a mid-term election.

We need to get busy on that job, I think.
