Order someone to fire Mueller. If that person refuses, replace that person and order someone else to do it. Repeat until you get to someone willing to ruin their reputation for you.

However, if he fires Sessions first, authority may revert to to the new Attorney General who would then be able to fire Mueller. I say "may" because there is at least one legal opinion floating around that the new Attorney General would also have to recuse due to political connections to Trump.

Some people argue that the new Attorney General would not feel bound by normal rules of recusal, but I think it matters still, because any firing would be contested in court, as the Saturday Night Massacre was. By the way, the court ruled back then that the Special Counsel could not be fired, but by that time, the point was moot.

Rosenstein has said he won't do it so trump has to fire Sessions, then his replacement will have the authority to fire Mueller.

He may have to fire Rosenstein as well.

Rosenstein will probably resign if it gets to it.

Even for trump that's a lot of bloodletting and more revolving door chaos for repugs not to at some point react.

And of course Democrats and the Media will be howling, and even more repugs will be putting in their retirement papers in order not to hit by the coming blue wave in November.

Good luck, Donald.

If he can make it to a country with no extradition treaty without having to stop in a country that has one for fuel, he could conceivably be in Russia before the US figured out he was gone. And if he fires Mueller, he'll have incriminated himself to the point where fleeing the country is the only option.
