The guy had great radio pipes, that's for sure. His trademarks were breaking up his commentaries with "Page 2", etc., around commercials and, at the end of every one, "Paul Harvey ... Good day!" with an upward inflection at the end. And there was "The rest of the story."

He did these on ABC Radio for decades. His politics and editorials were very right-wing. This particular piece, which he recorded in 1998, was written by Bo Lozoff for a Christmas newsletter in 1989. Lozoff is the founder of the Human Kindness Foundation.

radical and would have all the Evangelicals up in arms....I really used to enjoy listening to his "The Rest of the Story" on the radio. Thanks for the post. I hope others take a listen...

I listened to his show almost every day for a while. He featured a lot of offbeat and interesting news, as well as amazing historical facts. But he was a HUGE right-winger, at least by the standards of his day.

This just goes to show you how fucking crazy the right wing is today. The Trumpers would burn him in effigy if he were around to produce something like this.
