The right wing's idea of "balance" is why we're here today...

This is an obvious exaggeration, but look at how they operate when it comes to science, the media, education, law, politics, etc...

Person A: That house is on fire, someone do something!
Person B: Yeah, that house is totally on fire, I'm going to call 911!
Person C: Whoa, whoa, how come nobody is talking about the good things about that house being on fire!?

How many times do you see Person C in your dealings with conservatives?



It's a combination of everything; going against what one perceives to be the popular opinion, "owning the libs", going against experts you already don't like, etc. If we're not willing to neutralize this system, then prepare to lose.
