After London, there is a chance..that the bigwigs are rethinking him.

Is it possible that they will pick someone else?
It is a month away, and more can happen.
The last few days have shown how really stupid he is. (to quote other people who post here)
It is still the future, and anything can happen.
Sounds crazy? well......

five years ago, I would have thought an Afro-American President was "crazy"
I was wrong, so were many others..

You really think the GOP has their shit together? Palin? Romney?

They're fading. Now is the time to kick their asses!

If anyone else were to be the nominee he/she would be seen as illegitimate.

That would probably lead to a divisive, and costly dust up. I think the only way they would allow that to happen would if Mitt were caught smuggling heroin or something.

I don't think RWers really care about legitimacy as long as they win.

I don't think there is any great cabal within the Republican Party (or outside of it either) who get together and decide who the anointed one will be. I think Romney bought and fought his way to the top, with more of the former than the latter and a good does of pure bullshit to slide him in on.

Nothing about Mitt Romney is true to form. We want voter to realize that when they go to their voting booth, they

have to question: What does Mit Romney believe? How can you trust American values if you voted someone
whom you cannot trust? Trust is the issue these super PAC on the democratic side must push forward.t

short of death, i don't see how they run anybody else at this point... don't know how many here remember the "Egelton affair" of the Mc Govern campaign... when major changes are made this late in the campaign, at that level it's its not only problematical its a death sentence..

how would they do it draft Jeb?... most of the intelligentsia of the party is staying out this year.. that leaves the clown car people from the primaries.. not pretty for them.. he's this years Dole

I don't understand why anyone thinks Rove or anyone else is really in charge.

Palin? Romney?

What kind of master plan is this?

Answer: it isn't. It's total meltdown for the GOP. They are slowly fading into the sunset.

Put the money machine in gear and get the message out on TV, Radio, and what's left of the new papers - the man with the most money wins. That is what we have become. Any lie can be presented and half of us will believe it, and that goes for both sides. Get it on the TV, get it on the radios, get the message out, and you win. It all costs money, big money, and all it takes is three or four like-minded Billionaires who don't even need to collude, and there you have it.

Don't control the party anymore. The base does. The leaders of the party kowtow to them, even though they are batshit insane.
