It gives many of those who voted for Trump an excuse to use for their mistake.
For many of these low information voters, they are locked into their vote for fear of admitting they have been duped. These media pushers and psych whatever outlets have given them an excuse to say, "Hey, I was tricked".

(637 posts)voted for other people in the primary. They arent biting. Fascism is organically growing in the hinterlands. We have been arrogant to think people have been voting against their own interests for capitalists feeding them a steady diet of xenophobia and conspiracy theories. They want those things more than they want cheaper health care. 'lets kick the shit of that guy' is simply more appealing. Communism actually required people to ready boring economic tomes. Kind of an amazing feat. Fascism needs only a mean dickhead and some violent dickheads to follow, and victims.

Not much of an excuse. And, I can't see anyone but a dim-wit buying into that junk.
