The local radio wingnut host retweeted a Calvin/Hobbes. Wonder why he's never answered my question.

He maintains contact with some of us Libs, research? Anyway, I've asked him several times over the years, "How can a DECENT person be a Repuke?"

He's never answered that. But now he's approving of somebody else who said about this C&H, "The Christian dilemma in a cartoon."

Did you use the word "Repuke" when you asked him the question? MiniMe Mar 2018 #2

The right wing and christian fundy mind is geared to accepting appearances over substance.

Actual substance is threatening, therefore it is rejected.

There really is no "Christian dilemma" - they are, for the most part, easily bought off with "goodness" that is faked for the sake of personal gain.

If you did, that is most likely why he isn't answering you

His being, um, selective about morality is what my point is.

We've had 30 years of back/forth, starting with snail mail.

And, yes, "Repuke" is just one of my activist epithets I commonly use with him and he long ago decided to keep coming back for more. I'll convey your concern for his sensibilities, which I know he'll appreciate, since he's beleaguered on all sides, including from his own Nazi side.

It should be clear I'm not from our kumbayah side of things.

Either one tends to make me tune out. I use colorful language, but the playground name-calling just lowers the level of discourse and immediately makes the other person dig in their heels and shut out anything else you have to say.

Just my personal opinion.

seeing "FOX NEWS" reminding me of that place, "Presidency" apart, but I wouldn't have felt the need to let you know that if you hadn't let me know your judgment on my "colorful language," nor would it matter whether this would lead you to shut out anything else I have to say.

But even more, I am irritated by posts that go into the Meta of things, thereby hijacking the point of the thread. But these are just my personal opinions.
