I got an email notice from the NNA (National Notary Association) today. Very interesting. It seems not only did trumpski not sign his agreement with Stormy Daniels, he had it "fake" notarized. Now the notary is likely going to have her commission revoked.
Here's the bit that had me giggling. I took down the address information for the notary, plugged that into Google, and got ..... (drum roll please) ... a UPS Store.
Right. So I'm to believe that trumpski gets his agreements notarized at the local UPS Store, or a Quicky Mart, whichever is closer? That whole organization is the Keystone Cops of criminals. Dumber than dirt.
Apparently, this person's notary stamp was used but the rest wasn't filled in properly. How much can we bet that the actual notary did not do this, which would likely have caused them to lose their job.

My how we've 'evolved'.
Twas nice reminiscing the past, but were we being blinded then also?

(15,682 posts)that alerted me to my narcissist husband's cheating. Actually, it was my 14 year old daughter who understood what the numbered code actually read. It was "I love you". From my kid's babysitter. You know, the 19 year old who spent the night in my house to watch the kids while I was out of town.

(20,237 posts)I said it in that manner bc of those candy hearts for Valentine's Day that said current stuff. Page Me, Fax Me, etc.
Now it's Tweet Me, Text Me, IM Me, etc.
I don't remember if any said like, Hep Cat or Cool Man.....

(53 posts)Not to defend this, but most UPS stores actually offer notary services.

(15,682 posts)a notary in house. I was one. It made the whole notary deal convenient for our customers as well as for ourselves.

(19,193 posts)that just about every Attorney's Office has a Notary on staff, usually one of the paralegals (who do the lion's share of the work for the Attorney's) so why they'd need a document to be Notarized at a UPS Store kind of puzzles me. I suppose there could be legitimate reasons for it, but the Notary not filling the form in correctly is highly suspect.

(9,067 posts)So used a fake notary fro UPS. Even the UPS person should have recorded IDs though.

(8,000 posts)Yes, many places offer notary services, but even small businesses often have their own notary... I was a notary for 40 years and always for a small business with less than 50 employees. It's hard to believe that Trump's rep would actually go to a UPS store to get a contract notarized. Once again, it proves what a shady bunch this is.

(33,643 posts)You know, at the UPS down the street from Trump Tower or some such. They have a 'arrangement' where the lawyer 'borrows' the stamp for a minute for a nice crisp hundo.
Cause that's what kinda small-time, low-rent, penny-ante assholes the Trump Admin consists of.

(14,274 posts)Trump's lawyers can parse the language all they want, it remains unenforceable. He didn't sign it. The notary public screwed up. Case closed.
He does not get his way with this just because he is rich or has power. He failed in the simplest part of this sham agreement which makes it null and void. Stormy Daniels is free to say whatever she wants and to spend the $130,000 Cohn forked over.
