He could brag about sleeping with porn stars, playmates and Celeb App stars all day long, and republican congress members would not care because his 30% voting block would not care. The only people who think its evidence of moral and personal failures are people who already think he is a walking example of moral and personal failure. I.e., this scandal is merely preaching to the choir.


The jeopardy to security and blackmail risk would be too nuanced to matter to them. And if he openly admitted it, he wouldn’t really be very black-mailable anyway. The fact that it is abusive behavior is lost on them.

I believe the Russian conspiracy will be his downfall. I think the affairs are a distraction really.
