Could it be that Trump is trying to get himself impeached?

He has done everything to make it look like he is guilty? He won't shut up either? His goal is to use the impeachment as a crutch to have his base feel sorry for him and he can blame it the media & others?

If he wanted to leave office that bad, he would finish out his term, declare that he's made American great again and he isn't seeking re-election.

He's used to dealing with situations where the money he inherited from his father gets him out of trouble.

It's not working anymore, but he's still who he's always been.

"a crutch to have his base feel sorry for him and he can blame it the media & others?"

They are useful tools to him.

He's been able to get away with whatever he wanted to do before because previously he had primarily been operating the realms of entertainment, shady real estate or corporate branding - each of which tends to be protected within their own rarified environment separate from the general public.
A true failed scion - because of Daddy's money and Daddy's network and the celebrity status (which was the only real thing he ever worked at), he was always able to escape any punishment whenever he broke the law by throwing money around and being brash and outrageous (as in, lying his ass off and throwing temper tantrums when he gets caught).
He doesn't understand that being a President is a real world job with real consequences. Hell, I don't even know if he understands that other people are real.
He's still living the life of a "rich front man" character in Celebrity World.

Democrats drove him out of office, enraging his base and starting a civil war where the deplorables seek revenge against the rest of us on his behalf. I think he would love to see something like that. He is just THAT sick.
