As Americans become more educated, the GOP is moving in the opposite direction

Americans are pursuing higher education at growing rates, but those without a college education are increasingly finding a home in the GOP.

According to new data released by the Pew Research Center, higher educational attainment is increasingly associated with Democratic Party affiliation and leaning:

“In 1994, 39% of those with a four-year college degree (no postgraduate experience) identified with or leaned toward the Democratic Party and 54% associated with the Republican Party. In 2017, those figures were exactly reversed.”

More than half of registered voters who identify as Democrat have a bachelor's degree, while fewer than 4 in 10 registered voters who identify as Republican have a bachelor's degree.

An education alone doesn't indicate intelligence, nor does a lack of one indicate stupidity.

These numbers, though, show us what we already know about today's Republicans: many of them lack an interest in learning and fear what new knowledge will do to their convictions.

Hence, science, higher education, facts, statistics, and even efforts to foster critical thinking at the elementary or high school level are all threatening to them.

Many of the people in my youth, back in the day, would’ve been considered liberal. If you tell those same people that today many wouldn’t remember it that way. I know I was liberal and, if anything, I’ve become even more so. Just a thought.

Evangelicals love Trump so much?

Under that Evangelical cloak lies the dirty minded, bigoted old men. They think ,” Marry ‘em young so you can bring ‘em Up right.” That filthy old Preacher on Duck Dynasty put it in words.
For them. And dependent women need a man to take care of.

Women are saying,” Hell no, I do not need that!” As they become more Educated they want equality.

I just received that from a friend who watches Jeremiah, asking her son if he thought he was good. he sent it to her.

She was not happy to see that about Ivanka and Jared.

So many have simply quit going to Church because of this Right Wing takeover.

The young have no use for Religion,and the middle and older are simply fed up. They know they can be believers in their own homes.

I quit a Church because the Pastor told us we had to vote against Obama. Sermons consisted of abortion, Gays and love of guns. Half the Church left. They are now trying to rebuild with a new Pastor.

The term liberal is usually thought to mean "a lot", "a liberal amount of......". Conservative can also mean minimal. So liberal thinkers, lots of thinking. Conservative thinkers, minimal thinking
