Am I the only one frustrated over the Twitter links (not copied text) ?

Twitter is blocked where I work. I often DU at lunch. Lately it seems half or more postings are links to twitter so I cannot read them

Can ya'll copy and paste the text too? Please???

1. Nope, I'm with you.

I too find it frustrating, but I'm not familiar enough with Twitter to know if it's problematic to send the text as well as the link. Sure would appreciate it, though. Thanks for posting this!

6. It's very easy to post the text from a tweet.

I usually do, unless there is only an image in the tweet.

I'll click an OP, the tweet or article link is there but no excerpt or sense of what it is about.
Why post it if you are going to be lazy and clutter up the board with half-assed non-descriptions.

Twitter is blocked at work so now if I even suspect the post contains a link to a Tweet I ignore it and move along.

7. I'm blocked from twitter links at work too. I'm always trying to remember what I wanted

to look at when I get home. I blame my job not DU so I just deal.

But hey if it was to become a thing that folks also posted the text it would be so much appreciated by us blocked work folks...!!!

I do not do Twitter, generally refuse to click on blind links or videos. Hate and avoid those videos from hard to identify sites.

14. I'm frustrated in the opposite direction - when they don't INCLUDE the links

I always post the text as well as the link, and I think it's imperative that people post both. I always like to follow the link and go retweet. Also see what others have posted in response, and take a minute to look at my feed. So I definitely need both.

15. I have the opposite problem

People posting the tweet image, often twice, and then the text too. All this redundancy is just a time-waster for readers.

For you folks who get bothered that you can't read tweets on DU while at work, I do encourage you to just get back to work.

I do my best. For the most part I post both the Twitter link as well as copy/paste the text and included image. DU doesn't render Twitter video so I usually add a warning in my OP.

I realize I can't please everyone. Oh well.
