4. The issue of stereotypes is that they are all true in some cases and never true in all cases.

...Kushner, as an orthodox Jew, lives within the broad spectrum of orthodox jews. Many are incredible, wonderful, caring people...many are the opposite. There's no reason to believe that orthodox fall into a better (or worse) distribution of human behavior than any other group of people.

So, I don't see Carrey's image as a stereotype but rather as an accurate picture of an individual (who happens to be orthodox) obsession with building wealth.

Just my two cents.

Noting Kushner's funny money and his building at 666 5th don't specifically indicate any hostility to his ethnicity, and Carrey isn't known to harbor any such views.

but I can tell you this -- he's spending about all his time painting these days. Some of his work is quite remarkable. These are ... um, interesting, but not IMO among the best of what he's been producing lately.
