Our nephew's first school lockdown (not a drill) happened when he was SIX.


He's eleven and a happy Australian now. Thank god.

Our daughter as a TA last year had mandatory training on active shooter measures at in our campus carry state.

Enough.

That they had an active student shooter drill in the elementary school. The k-2 special ed had to participate. A lot of those kids were confused and scared. I was out of town and read her post and got teary eyed. I know these kids and felt angry and sad they had to do this.
