We had a nice crowd - especially considering how cold and windy it is. Flint mayor Karen Weaver, my state senator, Jim Ananich and my wonderful Congressman Dan Kildee were among the speakers. The crowd consisted of people from young children, all the way up to quite a few of us old campaigners, with plenty of school kids in the mix. Congressman Kildee also spoke at a rally in Saginaw, today, so he is deeply invested in getting the message out and letting his constituents know exactly where he stands.
Word was that there was a small contingent of NRA supporters on the periphery of the crowd, but I didn't spot them. If they were there, they were circumspect - and greatly outnumbered.
