This is the generation we have been waiting for!

Having lived through the civil rights movement, the anti VN war protests, equal rights for all genders, and a movement to protect our environment I thought the whole effort had gone south, pun intended.
Now I see the hope we knew was there all along. A hope that future generations would pick up the message that you have to fight for what you deserve in this world.
With all my remaining strength I will support these children and feel secure that their children will live in a much better world.

Let’s not forget that the No Nukes campaign in the 80’s was very effective.

These marvelous humans we are witnessing are proof of evolution.
Never have I heard such powerful articulated speech.

My mortality is too much with me these days, compared to all the days of my life previous to this, and I've been very disquieted by the state the world is in. Having been part of the 60s and 70s, it felt like all that we lived through, all we DID accomplish was at great risk -- not to mention the threats of climate change, creeping fascism right here at home, etc., etc., etc.

If these kids are any indication of this generation, and I believe they are, I can die -- whenever that happens -- knowing the world has a chance. It means a lot to me.

I am also thrilled and comforted by the whole-hearted embrace of diversity they demonstrate. It's not something they do, it's who they are. Marvelous and beautiful and as much a part of my hope for them and the world as their activisim.

"No, no, no, children.. You can't include Black Lives Matter activists. They'll politicize YOUR message."

Maybe they did get that advice and said BS! It was so important that listened to themselves and they put many of those kids and their older brothers and sisters --who have been traumatized by guns on a near daily basis -- onto the speaking platform. Everyone there was SO inspiring.

What an incredible generation! With them, Democracy may still have a chance in the USA.

And as an aside, it looks like Common Core has been a raging success. These kids have such impressive skills.

and incredibly inspiring.

My jaw dropped at each and every one -- how articulate, sensible, poised, energetic, and more. Fabulous generation. It reminds me of ours.
