March for Our Lives - Crystal River, FL

In this ruby red slice of rural Florida, we had 230 people standing along a main highway with signs and chanting! Best of all, the response from drivers was, amazingly, almost wholly positive.

I think people were amazed at that many people stepping up. We had one counter protester across the highway - a lonely little dude in an NRA hat carrying a gadsden flag.

I felt so alone after the GE, and hubby and I mostly are. But there are so many Democratic clubs and groups forming here now, it gives me hope.

I attended the Women's March in DC and it changed my life. This just made me feel hopeful.
